A Squawk to Remember!

(A birdy wooing in the present times – of course in haiku, and yes of course, translated from parakeetese!)

He (swaggering):
O bewitching wings!
of the viridis flutter,
not native I see?

She (dodging):
From a far off land,
I arrive in the city,
seeking grains of hope.

He (bold):
You land in the lush,
for these are the golden fields,
I promise you gems!

She (evasive):
I wish no riches,
a shelter for my feathers,
few bites to sustain.

He (flamboyant):
A lofty haven,
with choice of prime juicy fruit,
the life of a queen!

She (circumventing):
My dreams go beyond,
your offered extravagance,
not my path alas!

He (persuasive):
If you so wish it,
I will forsake my province,
roam the wilds with you.

She (outmanoeuvring):
That is fine with me,
so far the rules you follow,
social distancing!

    1. Ha ha…for one sharing the birth day with me, Deepika, you will have a pretty good idea of my personality traits! 🤓
I have been fortunate to have always had a close bond with mother nature. And I believe she has all the answers to our doubts, worries and concerns, but only if we listen – silently…😇
Thank you so much for reading and comprehending! 🙏🏻🙂
