Sparrows juvenile
delightful their first drizzle
soaking up in glee
well preened contour feathers dry
downy feathers soft and warm
Fun frolic ended
as the heavens opened up
babies now wet through
wise and sheltered they wonder
what new lessons life will give

Life gives all creatures such profound lessons all the time. Excellent pic and words N!!

And is man the only child who refuses to learn from the lessons? 🤔

Hmm… looking at how we behave, I guess you are right N. We are very poor learners.

What delight! I’m always inclined to feel sorry for wet birds, but then I remember how well equipped they are to cope with the world they live in. They don’t need an umbrella!

I have often watched our birds get wet in a downpour and felt sorry for their bedraggled appearance, but I haven’t put it in such poetic words as you, Narendra. 🙂

Thank you, Narendra. The world would be a much sadder place without our beloved birds.

Aren’t we lucky to have them in our lives? I noted when our air was terribly smokey, they abandoned me — wise birds…
